MEET giorgia

Giorgia is an Italian tattoo artist, illustrator, and handmade creator based in Perth, WA. Her work is inspired by a lifelong love for illustration books and the art of storytelling, blending dreamlike melancholy with feminine strength and emotional depth. Each creation is a bridge between reality and imagination, transforming personal stories into symbolic works of art.

Chile Despertó
(Santiago de Chile, 2019)

A few years ago, I witnessed Chile waking up. What began as a protest against a metro fare hike became a powerful movement against inequality. As an outsider living in Chile at the time, I saw people fighting for dignity while the media often failed to show the full truth. This project was my way of giving voice to those who fought to be heard.

What I love most about live music is watching artists completely lost in their art. There’s something so powerful in that, something raw, honest, and human.

I feel so grateful that my friends are my greatest source of inspiration. Seeing them create, experiment, and grow reminds me that art isn’t just in the outcome, it’s in the process, in the courage to try, the curiosity to explore, and all the little moments in between.

@late.night.therapy is one of the brightest examples of this. His passion and authenticity move me deeply, and being around that energy makes me want to live more openly, create more honestly, and trust myself a little more.

Your environment can shape your creativity.

For years I told myself it was smarter to work from home, saving money, saving time, staying “efficient.” I thought every minute spent walking to a café was wasted, every extra dollar for coffee unnecessary. But I was wrong. My environment wasn’t neutral; it was shaping how I thought, how I created, and even how I felt.

Sometimes real change doesn’t start with planning or motivation. It starts with the space around you. A different room, a new corner, a change of scenery can open your mind, spark new ideas, and give you clarity you didn’t know you were missing.

Now every Monday morning I take myself on a date to my favorite café. It’s not just coffee, it’s a ritual, a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what I’m doing. The simplest changes in your surroundings can create the biggest shifts inside, and that’s where creativity truly begins. 🌞

This photo is very special to me. It was taken on a trip with friends to Staddie, a journey that became a turning point in my life. I can still remember the way I felt, the excitement, the dreams I held close, and the sense of possibility that filled those days. Every time I look at this image, I’m transported back to that moment, back to the joy of being fully present.

That’s what matters most: feeling. Deeply, honestly, completely 🌞

Carmen was my very first friend.
We met as babies, and even though we needed our own space to grow over the years, she remains one of my biggest sources of support and inspiration.

Funny how life works… Even though we’ve explored creativity in completely different ways (I still remember those Fridays spent painting still lifes in her art classes), she’s still the one whose opinion means the most when it comes to my projects.

If I had to make a list of the songs that have shaped my life, La Mar by @thebeautifulgirlscollective would definitely be on it (probably in the top 10).

And last year, I was lucky enough to experience it live. Forever a part of me 🧡

A lot of people ask me why it’s called Somos Ondas. The truth is, it took me a long time to find a name — because this project feels like opening my soul in two. And in that process, I knew I didn’t want to forget where I come from. I didn’t want to leave my Spanish heart behind.
Somos Ondas means “we are waves”.

We are ever-changing, flowing, rising and falling — just like the sea. We are energy, we are movement, we are presence.

This is more than a creative project. It’s a space to connect through light, soul, and intention 🧡

I’ve been reading about the spark lately.
That quiet energy that guides us, makes us feel aligned, and reminds us we’re heading in the right direction.

My spark is in the orange glow of the sun, the shadows of palm trees, the calm of nature, the warmth of light.
It’s in the simple things that make me feel happy, grounded, and inspired.

Somos Ondas was born from that feeling—a space to create, feel, and grow.
